Former Convict Partners with Police

Jermaine McNair was a convicted felon by the time he was 21.

Lt. Richard Taylor is a police officer at the East Carolina University Police Department in Greenville, N.C.

Jermaine and Richard formed an unexpected alliance and now work together on a regular basis through Jermaine’s nonprofit NC CIVIL, which seeks to build resilience and support vulnerable communities.
