Exercises
Choose Your Lift Level
What do you have capacity for today? Whether it's a light lift, or something a little heavier, taking a step is what counts.
Is IQ Fixed or Fluid?
Take this brief learning orientation quiz and note your fixed or fluid mindset score.
Take this short assessment (and watch the videos if you have time) and explore how your assumptions about intelligence affect how you approach the more difficult challenges in your life. What might this mean for changing course today regarding your own political polarization?
The Science Behind It
How we think about IQ and how we go about solving problems have been found to be directly related. When we see IQ as something we are born with (a fixed trait), we approach new problems like a performer who wants to show how smart they are. When we view IQ as something that can be grown and developed over time, we will take a learning approach to new problems - perhaps failing at first, but eventually mastering the problem.
