Stop to Reset
Before you start: take this short survey if you haven't yet to see how polarization may be affecting your life - we'll use this as a starting point to help measure how far you've come at the end of The Challenge!
Exercises
Choose Your Lift Level
What do you have capacity for today? Whether it's a light lift, or something a little heavier, taking a step is what counts.
Will They Ever Change?
Take the Implicit Change Theory Inventory
The Science Behind It
Studies suggest that our assumptions about whether or not things can change significantly affect how we address the more difficult conflicts we face. This brief assessment asks you a few questions to explore how possible you see change being in the U.S. today, which will have implications for if and how you move forward. Give it a try, then jot down a few notes on what it might mean to be open to changing your thinking, reactions, and habits this month.
Daily Reflection
End the day by making a note of your own assumptions, tendencies, and habits that incline you toward divisiveness - what are your strengths, challenges, and areas to work on?
